Payments Policy

Effective Date: October 13, 2026

This policy explains how payments between members work when you pay or get paid for a job through The Model's Resource ("TmR"). It forms part of our Terms and Conditions. Paying through TmR is optional; payments made outside TmR are solely between the members involved.

1. Fees

The member who pays is charged a TmR service fee of 5% on top of the job amount, and the member who is paid has 5% of the job amount deducted. For a $100 job at these rates the payer pays $105.00 and the recipient receives $95.00.

TmR's fees include Stripe's card processing fee, so there is nothing else to pay. Fees are fixed when a payment or payment request is created; later fee changes never apply to it. Every fee is shown before you pay or request payment.

2. Where your money goes

TmR never holds your money in a TmR account. Card payments are processed by Stripe, and the recipient's share is credited to their own Stripe payout account at the moment of payment. TmR's fee is collected by Stripe at the same time. Recipients receive their money in their bank on Stripe's payout schedule, usually within a few business days, or sooner when they withdraw.

3. When payment is due

A payment request is due within 15 days of the deliverables being submitted, which is the date the request is sent. TmR reminds the payer before the due date. A request still unpaid after its due date is marked overdue, both members are told, and it is flagged to the TmR team.

4. Refunds and cancellations

  • If a job is cancelled, the recipient or the TmR team can refund a payment in full or in part.
  • Refunds go back to the payer's card. A full refund returns the service fee too; a partial refund returns a proportional amount.
  • Because TmR does not hold funds, a refund is taken back from the recipient's payout account in proportion to the amount refunded.
  • A payment request can be withdrawn by the recipient, or declined with a reason by the payer, at any time before it is paid.

5. Disputes

Either member can report a problem with a payment made through TmR and give a reason. Both members and the TmR team can see the dispute and its status: open, under review, or resolved, with the outcome. Card chargebacks raised with the payer's bank are recorded against the payment and decided by the card issuer. Refunds and disputes only apply to payments made through TmR.

6. Not paying

Members who do not pay amounts owed for jobs booked through TmR may be suspended or permanently banned from the Platform. TmR is not liable for payments between members.
